Chicken Sajji is a Popular Pakistani Dish Recipes.

Chicken Sajji is a popular Pakistani and Indian dish that is made by marinating a whole chicken and then roasting it on a spit or skewer. Here is a recipe for making Chicken Sajji:

Ingredients:

1 whole chicken, cleaned and gutted

2 cups yogurt

1/4 cup vegetable oil

2 tbsp. ginger-garlic paste

1 tbsp. paprika

1 tbsp. coriander powder

1 tsp. cumin powder

1 tsp. turmeric powder

1/2 tsp. black pepper

Salt to taste

Lemon wedges, for serving

Instructions:

In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the yogurt, vegetable oil, ginger-garlic paste, paprika, coriander powder, cumin powder, turmeric powder, black pepper, and salt until well combined.

Add the chicken to the marinade, making sure to coat it well on all sides. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and marinate the chicken in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours, or overnight for best results.

Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Remove the chicken from the marinade and shake off any excess. Place the chicken on a roasting pan or skewer.

Roast the chicken in the oven for 45-60 minutes, or until the internal temperature of the chicken reaches 165°F (75°C) when tested with a meat thermometer.

Once the chicken is done, remove it from the oven and let it rest for 10-15 minutes before carving it into pieces. Serve hot, with lemon wedges on the side.

Tips:

You can also cook the chicken on a barbecue grill or over an open flame for a more authentic flavor.

If you don't have a whole chicken, you can use chicken pieces instead, such as thighs, legs, or breasts.

You can also adjust the amount of spices and seasoning to your liking, depending on your preference for spiciness and flavor intensity.
